Eye Health Examinations and Vision Assesments

Eye Health ExamsA regular eye check-up is an important part of everyone's wellness plan, even if you see just fine. Our practice offers a variety of services to take care of the visual needs of your entire family, from six-month-olds to their great-grandparents. Comprehensive eye health examinations include a complete vision analysis, testing of eye muscle coordination and focusing, a thorough internal and external eye health examination, and screening for both ocular disease, as well as systemic disease, that may be affecting the eye.

We believe that the optomap® technology and preventative eye care screening leads to the diagnosis and treatment of eye and non-eye disease at an earlier stage.  This can save sight and save lives.

The optomap® retinal imaging system allows a view inside of the eye, in most cases without dilation. The resulting image is a digital, panoramic view of the retina.  This is the most comprehensive view of the inner eye available without the blur and inconvenience of a traditional dilated exam.

Specialized Diagnostic Testing

                                                                                                                     Specialized Diagnostic Testing

While patients expect optometrists to follow eye diseases such as glaucoma, cataracts, dry eye syndrome and macular degeneration, many people do not realize that other conditions including diabetes, autoimmune disease, and seasonal allergies also require additional monitoring of the eyes. Some medications can also cause eye symptoms, so let the doctor know about any prescription or non-prescription drugs you are taking, or any medical conditions you may have. Should your condition require surgery, you will be referred to the appropriate specialist.
