Our Community - Giving Back
We live here, too, and we want the community around us to be a better place
for those who cannot always speak for themselves. Animals and kids, especially those with
special needs, are the main focus of our volunteer efforts. Please visit the links below
and find out more about what we are passionate about!

The German Shepherd Rescue of Central Texas strives to save German Shepherds and German Shepherd mixes from neglect, abuse, and premature death.
They give rescued dogs a chance to have the good life they deserve through rescue, adoption, referrals, and behavior counseling.
The group does not sell dogs, but adopts intelligent, sensitive beings into homes where their personalities and potential will be valued.

German Shepherd Rescue of Central Texas is a non-profit organization run by volunteers. Equipment and supplies are purchased using the personal funds of our volunteers, or are donated or purchased using contributions and adoption fees. If you would like to contribute, please see our website and find out about how you can help.

WHAT IS THE WACO HUMANE SOCIETY MEDICAL FUND?
Sometimes an injured dog or cat just needs a little extra help from a "Guardian Angel" to get over an illness or injury to be ready for adoption. The WHS MEDICAL FUND allows us some "wiggle room" to treat symptoms, pesky illnesses or cover costs for surgery on an otherwise fantastic "Forever Pet."
Please consider making a donation to the MEDICAL FUND so we can continue to help these terrific dogs and marvelous kitties!
